Doris Hearn Hadaway
Doris Hearn Hadaway passed away in New Braunfels, Texas on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at the age of 86.
She was born on November 19, 1929 to Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Paul Hearn in Eastland County Texas. Doris married the love of her life, Lee Hadaway, on September 7, 1947 in Lubbock Texas. They were married for 68 wonderful years. She worked for Texas Instruments for many years as a Lead Operator. She was also a member of the Home Demonstration Club in Andrews, Texas, where she taught sewing and cooking to the local 4-H Club. Her recipes were featured in many of their cookbooks. She also was involved in a lot of volunteer work in Carbon, Texas. Doris was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Paul and Johnnie Mae Hearn; daughter Vicky Ellison; sisters, Charlene Haggard, and Viola Byrom; and brother, Thomas Glen Hearn.
She is survived by her loving husband, Lee Hadaway; her brothers, Henry Hearn and wife Colleen, and Charles Ray Hearn; her daughters, Kay Ellis and Dewana Duley; her son, Paul Hadaway; 10 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park at the Gazebo at 2:00 pm.
