Chester Ray Hughes Obituary

GORMAN- Chester Ray Hughes, age 78, of Gorman passed away, Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Abilene Regional Medical Center.
Graveside service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at the Oaklawn Cemetery with Jody Forbus officiating.
Ray was born November 15, 1937 in Avoca, Texas to William Chester Hughes and Ruby Hughes. He served his country in the United States and Navy. He married Linda Gale Reed on June 23, 1961 in Bend, Oregon. She preceded him in death on December 16, 2014. The last ten years he worked for the Texas Federal Inspection Service. Ray was a member of the First Baptist Church in Gorman.
He is survived by two daughters, Vicki Rich and husband, Bobby of Gorman and Kathy Woodhouse and husband, Ted of Idaho Falls, ID; two brothers, Billy Hughes of Kentucky and Jerry Hughes of Stamford; nine grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one grandson, David Ray.
