Rendezvous With Writing
Thanksgiving Potluck a Success
The November meeting began with a meet and greet, followed by a lovely meal. Thank you to all that brought a delicious dish or desert. Another big C.W.C. thank you goes to Mr. and Mrs. Joe York for providing the smoked chicken.
Dr. Duane Hale, Gloria Kojakanian, Kathy Spencer, Sleepy Gomez, Ruth York, and others rounded out the event attendees.
Our guest speaker was author and publisher Barbara Rollins from Abilene, Texas. A once retired judge who returned to the bench on September 9, 2015, Barbara also owns and operates Silver Boomer Books (silverboomerbooks.com) and has been publishing since 2007.
Her topic, Publishing with a Small Press, was followed by an informative question and answer session. Thanks to Barbara Rollins for an educational evening.
The next Cisco Writers Club Meeting is Thursday, December 3, 2015 – 7:00 PM, Mobley Hilton, 309 Conrad Hilton Blvd, Cisco, Texas.

In honor of Veteran’s Day, the Cisco Writers Club expresses our heartfelt appreciation for the sacrifice of all our past and present military veterans.
“We must never forget why we have, and why we need our military. Our armed forces exist solely to ensure our nation is safe, so that each and every one of us can sleep soundly at night, knowing we have 'guardians at the gate.'” Allen West
