Eastland BackPack Program Helps Feed Hungry Children

For the sixth year, the Eastland BackPack Program is preparing to help feed hungry school children on the weekends during the 2014-2015 school year. The Eastland Backpack Program is designed to help feed school children that might otherwise go hungry on weekends. Students, whose parents/ guardians have agreed to participate in the program, will receive the nondescript backpacks on Friday afternoon as they head home from school. On Monday the students return the empty backpacks on the way to class to be filled again for the next weekend.
