While most students were gearing up for spring break, the Eastland High School Chapter of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) was busy achieving success, as it attended the Region II Conference in Waco on March 6-7. Eastland chapter members were among 600 delegates and advisors attending the conference. The meeting featured a series of specialized leadership tracks and general sessions in which members discovered ways to become actively involved in issues facing today’s youth. The Focus on Children group –Be A Friend project advanced to state level competition. The group consisted of Madison Funderburgh, Miranda Dale, and Alyssa Fleming. Madison noted that, “We always have the best time in FCCLA. We are blessed to be surrounded by such amazing sponsors and community.
