At GISD Board Meeting: Good Student-Teacher Ratio; Clean Audit Reported

The GISD Board of Trustees held a public hearing regarding GISD’s Texas Academic Performance Report on December 8th, 2014 at 6:30pm prior to the regular meeting. Superintendent Gary Speegle provided an overview of Gorman’s report. Gorman has good student- teacher ratios with 13.0 students per teacher in the elementary grades, and 8.2 students per teacher in the secondary. It was noted that writing scores are down across the state of Texas, however Gorman is working towards improving and excelling in this area.
