Inmate Died From Hanging Saturday Night

 On Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at approximately 7:05 p.m. a jailer at the Eastland County Jail, who was making rounds checking on

inmates, discovered an inmate with a homemade noose around his neck. 

  On entering the single cell the inmate was found to have no pluse. Paramedics were called to verify. Justice of the

Peace Ronnie White was called to the scene. 

  The inmate was pronounced dead at 7:11 p.m. by Judge White. 

   A Texas Ranger was called to the scene to investigate the death. 

   The body was sent to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy. 

  The deceased inmate was Richard Isaac Posey, white male, age 28, of Wickes, Arkansas. 

  Posey was being held on a charge of Probation Violation/Poss. of a Controlled Substance.
