Feasting, Recognition & Humor Highlight Annual Chamber Event

Chamber of Commerce Executive Cecil Funderburgh was named Eastland’s 112th Golden Deed award winner at the 53rd annual Banquet Thursday at the Siebert Elementary Complex. A host of worthy awards were distributed in the evening of spotlighting deserving citizens. Dr. Don Newbury, top favorite throughout Texas, was principal speaker and kept those in the near record attendance laughing at his topical humor and moved by his inspirational, serious asides.
