Chief Darrell Fox Honored at Golden Deed Awards Banquet

Ranger Fire Chief Darrell Fox was presented the special 2014 Greg Simmons Meritorious Service Award by the Eastland Volunteer Fire Department during the annual Eastland Chamber of Commerce’s Golden Deed Awards Banquet Friday. The award is given in the memory of fallen firefighter Greg Simmons, who died in the line of duty while fighting a fire near Carbon, and honors outstanding service to the community.
