‘Summer Fun in the SON

Summer Fun in the SON, the Summer Program for 1st-6th gradersat First Baptist Church began Wednesday, July 8, and will continue every  ednesday through August 12.After the students had Bible study and recreation, the rain subsided long enough for us to proceed with a  Municipal Airport. Mr.Bode Zietz, manager of the airport, took the 30 students into the terminal for a very interesting talk about the many services of the airport. The kids were especially excited to see someof the airplanes and helicopters kept there. We appreciate Mr. Zietz and others at the airport who made our visit a memorable one. This Wednesday the group will travel to Thurber, Texas to visit the W. K. Gordon Museum  nd have lunch at the New York Hill  estaurant. Each student will need to bring $3.00 for lunch. It’s not too late for any 1st – 6th grader to participate in Summer Fun in the SON. Simply bring your child Wednesday at 8:00 a.m. or stop by the church 8:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to register
