A Master Piece Leon’s Famous ‘Taking the Cow’To The Chamber

Leon Hale, Eastland native, brother to Ima Ruth Taylor and a long time columnist with the Houston Post & Houston Chronicle newspapers, recently wrote his last column and retired at the age of 92. Here’s one of his articles written about a “Chamber of Commerce Bull”. Chamber of Commerce bull makes its mark. The Chamber of Commerce bull played the leading role in a livestock improvement program sponsored by the merchants in my little West Texas hometown, back in the 1930s.
