Finishes in top third

Eastland Maverick cross country runner Mitchell Moreno ran this past Friday morning in the Region 1 Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock, Texas. He ran his best time of the year, which was 18:01 and he kept a 5:38 per mile pace. He placed 53rd out of 163 runners. So he finished in the top third. Coach Huxen commented on Moreno’s run, “Mitchell ran really well at Regionals
in Lubbock today.”
