Mavericks Playoff Run Comes To An End As Mavs Go 0-2 Against Holliday

It was a great season that ended a little too soon for the Mavericks and their fans as they lost two straight to the third ranked Holliday Eagles in the regional quarterfinals of the 2A state playoffs. This
group of Mavericks combined to finish the season with a 25- 4 record and earn their second district title by defeating Cisco in a tiebreaker game after the end of the season. They finished the year with a team fielding percentage of .920 and a team batting average of .293. Over the last two years, this group of seniors had a record of 47-16 to go with those two district championships.
