Moylan leads Eastland to Win against Hillsboro

Last Tuesday, Nov 25, the Lady Mavs travels to Hillsboro to take on the AAA Division 1 Hillsboro Lady Eagles. The Lady Mavs came away from Hillsoboro with a 54-30 victory. Mattie Moylan led the Lady Mavs in the scoring department with 16 points. She was 11 of 14 from the charity stripe and hit a 3-pointer in the first quarter. Right behind Mattie was Leighann Elder with 15 points. She had 4 points in the 1st quarter, and 7 big points in the 3rd and 4 more points in the final period. Kaylin Brown also helped with 10 points. She had 8 points in the 2nd quarter. Also scoring for the Lady Mavs was Sloan Ahrlett (8), Taylor Lucky (3) and Jessica Smith (2). Coach Huxen commented after the game, “We played well during this game.”
