Mavs’ Balanced Attack Steamrolls the Bulldogs, 56-0

The Eastland Mavericks continued their winning ways as they opened their district race with a 56-0 shutout over the Bulldogs from Millsap on the road this past Friday night. Eastland would amass 503 yards of total offense with a balanced attack, gaining 265 through the ground game and 238 through the air on just 43 offensive plays. The Maverick line led the way with each starting lineman grading out at over 80%. Braden Blackwell led all linemen with an overall score of 92% and three knockdowns. Eli Terry, starting center, would add 10 knockdowns with a score of 89%. McKennon Cecil would score 82% on his blocking assignments with 10 knockdowns followed by Peyton Bird with an 80% and 8 knockdowns and rounding out the lineman scores was Joseph Orozco with 80% and 3 knockdowns giving the Mavericks a solid offensive front.
