Eastland County Museum honors the vets of World War II

On February 7th 2015 The Eastland County Museum had their first showing of The Greatest Generation.  The exhibit is displaying many images and pieces from World War II.  Many folks from all over the county came to see this magnificent display.  The opening ceremony consisted of many speakers such as the mayor of Eastland Larry Vernon,  the mayor of Stephenville Kenny Weldon, and Texas State Representative, Jim Keffer.  The message they spoke of were very powerful and honored those of the living and those whom passed on.

There was a display of the Color Guard. They also raised a twenty one gun salute and the playing of Taps afterward.  This was to honor the fallen soldiers from the World War II Era.  The display is still up in the Eastland County Museum.  It runs through March 14th 2015.  So we urge folks to go see this and embrace history of this great county and this great state.
