Cisco Competes At UIL Regional Academic Meet, Advances 3 To State

Many of the Cisco High School academic team competed in the UIL Regional Meet on Saturday at Abilene Christian University. For a second straight year, Lyndsey Peace earned a trip to Austin, and this year she will be joined by Tabitha McKinney and Seth Saunders, who are both advancing to their first UIL Academic State Meet. Peace placed 2nd in Spelling and Vocabulary. The CHS Spelling team of Peace, Steven Hurley, and Jinger Posey earned 2nd place as well. McKinney and Saunders placed 1st and 2nd respectively in Ready Writing to advance. Zoey Tucker placed 5th in Literary Criticism, and Nick Thompson placed 5th in Social Studies.
