4-H Wants You!

My name is Rebecca. I’m a member of the Highway 6 4-H Club and the 4-H Shooting Sports in Eastland County. 4-H is a blast! I can enjoy cooking, sewing, arts, crafts, animals, and more. My 16 year old brother enjoys Shooting Sports, wool judging, and Leadership Lab- this is only a small list of the opportunities in 4-H! There are camps too! 4-H has day camps and overnight camps. Right now I’m enjoying the food challenge and Duds to Dazzle. The food challenge is a group of 3 to 5 kids; they work together as a team. Each team gets a bag of ingredients and a list of measurements, and you have 30 minutes to cook, clean your station, and make your speech. There are four categories: Main Dish, Fruits and Vegetables, Bread and Cereal, or Nutritious Snacks. The Duds to Dazzle is a group of 3 to 5 working together. The team gets one item to change into something else and the craft has to be 50% of the item you get. The other 50% of the used items are from the closet. A closet is a container containing material, ribbon, beads and more. There are three categories: Wearable, Nonwearable, and Jewelry-Accessories.
