The Eastland Mavericks’ baseball team began their non-district schedule this past week with 3 games.
Vs. Merkel
The Eastland Mavericks defeated the Merkel Badgers on Thursday 15-5 in six innings in their first official game of the season. Eastland scored five runs in the fourth on a two-run single by Gus Barker, a sacrifice fly by Tony Sellers, an RBI double by Chris Martinez, and a wild pitch.
