Mavericks Spoil Buckaroos’ Homecoming

After Breckenridge scored 22 unanswered points, the Eastland Mavericks found themselves down 22-19 with just over 7 minutes left to play in the Buckaroos’ homecoming game this past Friday evening. The Mavs were driving down the field and found themselves with a 4th and long inside the Buckaroo 40 yard line. A Buck stop and the game could be over. Josh Gosnell found Brant Bailey over the middle who dived for a first down. A few plays later, Gosnell was able to punch the ball in to give the Mavericks the lead again, 26-22.
