Eastland Begins District Victoriously Over Clyde

Opening their District 8 AAA schedule on the road, the Eastland Mavericks used their free throw shooting to upend the Clyde Bulldogs this past Friday evening by 3, 46-43. The win by the Mavs gives them a 1-0 record in District 8 and the Bulldogs are now 0-1 in district play. Both teams played to a 9 all tie in the 1st quarter. Matt Majors hit a 3-pointer and a 2-pointer to lead the Mavs.
