A Stinky Tail Of Romance

February is often referred to as the “Month of Love” as people, young and old alike, celebrate Valentine’s by giving candy, cards, flowers, and other gifts to their loved ones, but February also marks the beginning of the skunk breeding season, and some of these small animals are making it known that this is a time of love for them as well! As skunks wander around in search of romantic trysts, we can expect several more weeks of pungent odors to be omitted by these animals, and that nauseating musk “perfume” sprayed by skunks gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “love is in the air.
