Schools Participate In Food Bowl Challenge

Siebert Elementary and Cisco Elementary Schools participated in the 2014 KATX Radio Food Bowl Challenge leading up to the Cisco/ Eastland Football game. A goal was set to collect a total of 1,920 pounds of non-perishable food items to be distributed to Eastland Meals on Wheel, Cisco Senior Nutrition and other area food pantries. The two communities shattered the goal by collecting nearly 12,000 pounds of food. Siebert Elementary won the perpetual KATX Food Bowl Trophy by collecting more than 6,000 pounds and will keep the trophy until the 2015 KATX Food Bowl Challenge.
