Rising Star FFA Members Attend Annual Texas FFA Convention

Members of Rising Star FFA joined 11,824 others at then 87th annual Texas FFA Convention at theAmerican Banking Center in Corpus Christi, TX. At the convention students listened to Governor Greg Abbot, Texas AgriculturalCommissioner Sid Miller and several inspiring speakers. Students also participated in the business session and elected the 2015-2016 Texas FFA Officer team. At the convention the chapter received several awards. Kaylee Meador competed in the Texas FFA Extemporaneous Speaking contest and placed 10th. Emory Geye received an $18,000 Texas
