Weather Forces HC to be on Saturday
By Stephen Forester/ Jesse Ellerbe
The Varsity Ranger Bulldogs were supposed to play at home on Friday in their third district contest against the Baird Bears. The bad weather that effected a number of games on Friday caused the Ranger Homecoming celebration and game to be on Saturday. The Bulldogs amassed 241 yards of offense, but struggled to keep the Bears out of the end-zone. The Bulldogs moved the ball well, but could not manage to keep pace with the Bears. In the first quarter, the Bears got on the board first with a short run by Garrett Deal. Jeffery Beatty answered for the Bulldogs with a 12-yard scamper to bring Ranger within a point after the pass failed.
