Willie Burl Moore Obituary

Willie Burl Moore, age 83, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at his home in Gorman.

Service will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Gorman with Barry Schahn officiating.  Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery.

Willie Burl was born February 11, 1932 in Gorman, Texas to Jessie Marion Moore and Ressie Mae (Burleson) Moore. Willie Burl served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.  He worked for Birdsong Peanuts as maintenance superintendent for forty two years.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son, David Moore and wife, Marty of Bridgeport; two daughters, Karen Guthery and husband, Jim of Gorman and Susan Williams and husband, Don of Stephenville; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Evelyn Louise Moore and one sister, Frankie Jo Shipman.
