Rebecca L. Cox of Fairway, Kansas passed away January 4, 2015. She was born September 22, 1941 in Laredo, Texas. She worked at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where she met her husband, Jerry. Rebecca moved to the Kansas City area in 1991. She received her Master’s degree in Library Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia and worked at Park University until her retirement. Everyone Rebecca met was her friend. She was very caring, kind and sweet and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Merle Graham. She is survived by her beloved husband Jerald Katz, daughter Cara and four grandchildren, Aaron, Alex, Grace and Andrew and brother Gary Graham. Rebecca never lost her affection for Texas where she was born and raised. She spoke often of fond memories from that period of her life and her desire for that to be her final resting place. Graveside services will be held in Eastland, Texas on January 20, 2015 at 2 PM. The family suggests memorial gifts may be given to City Union Mission, 100 E. 11th St., KCMO 64106.
