Pearl D. Booth Obituary

   Pearl Demkovic Booth was born August 11, 1926, in Mohton, Pennasylvania to Joseph S. and Rose (Stabolepszy) Demkovic. Pearl graduated 8th grade from Gilbralter schools before beginning her working life as a nanny. Her stories of sister togetherness during her teenage years amazed her family. In 1942 working at a Reading, PA sandwich store, she met her handsome U.S. Army Texan, Emery Booth. He married the love of his life in Reading, PA on July 3,1943. He shipped out to the European Theater during WWII for the next 3 years. In 1946 he returned and brought her to Texas and she followed Emery through his deployment locations until his retirement in 1980. They moved to the family ranch in Cisco where she loved to garden and feed the hummingbirds on the front porch. She moved to Lewisville in 2009 to be closer to her daughter. Pearl was devoted to and beloved by her family, friends, church family, and community. She has always been a role model for selflessness, good citizenship, patriotism, loyalty, and christian generosity.  

 

   She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Locke, her favorite son in law, Don, three granddaughters, Susan Locke,Darsey Locke,Nancy Hardin and three greatgrandchildren, Audrey, Lillie and Brenden. Pearl is also survived by sisters, Frances Savage of Sinking Springs,PA, Ginny Clevenger of Gilbralter, PA and Florence Maurer of Milford, Delaware and several nieces and nephews.  

   A graveside service will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 2014, at Oakwood Cemetery in Cisco, Texas. Memorial donations may be made to the Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1711 Conrad Hilton Blvd. Cisco, TX or the American Cancer Society: Relay for Life of Lewisville/Flower Mound Medical Center of Lewisville Team fundraising effort.
