Mary Robbins Obituary
Rising Star– Mary Robbins, age 84, went home to be with her Lord on Thursday, August 27, 2015 surrounded by her children. Funeral Services were held at 10 am Monday, August 31st at Chamber Funeral Home Chapel in Cisco, TX with Terry Jackson officiating. Visitation was from 5 – 7 pm Sunday at the funeral home. Burial followed at the Rising Star Cemetery.
Mary Katherine Hatten was born in Bangs to Lorenzo Dow Hatten and Bertha Ella (Story) Hatten on October 19, 1930. She married Jesse J. Robbins in Odessa on January 19, 1951 and they were blessed with three children. Mary was a member of the Church of Christ of Rising Star and loved to read her Bible daily. She was also an accomplished quilter and seamstress. Mary’s greatest joy and loves were her loving family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 61 years, Jesse; her daughter-in-law Karen Robbins; her four brothers, John Ross Hatten, William Hatten, Leo Hatten and Robert Hatten and her two sisters, Mable Burton and Marie Willis.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Kathy Ingram and her husband Darvin of Hawley; two sons, Wayne Robbins of Odessa and Steve Robbins of Rising Star; her sister, Mildred Hall of Odessa; seven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two more great-grandchildren on the way.
Pall Bearers will be: Casey Robbins, Erick Robbins, Hunter Matta, Lucko Self, Mannie DeLaRosa, Robert Robbins, and Ron Matta. Honorary Pall Bearer will be Gary Porter.
