Marshall Ray “Bimbo” Roberts

Marshall Ray “Bimbo” Roberts, age 61 of Gorman, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the U. T. Southwestern Hospital in Dallas. Services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 23, 2015 at the First Baptist Church in Gorman, with Barry Schahn and Denver Rainey officiating. Burial will be in the Gorman Cemetery. “Bimbo” was born November 13, 1953 in Tyler, Texas to Thomas Newton Roberts and Mildred Jean (Thomas) Roberts. He graduated from Gorman High School in 1973 and attended Tarleton State University. He married Anna Lee Butler on August 23, 1974 in Gorman. He was a self-employed concrete contractor and a member of the First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Anna Lee Roberts of Gorman; one son, Levi Roberts of Gorman; one daughter, Kendra Roberts of Gorman; three grandchildren, Mathew Morris of Campbell, Maddox Roberts of Gorman and Korbin Coplin of Gorman. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Kerry Roberts, R. G. Warren and Kennard Roberts. Visitation will be 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
