Leona Fay Morton Obituary

CISCO- Leona Fay Morton, 88, of Cisco passed from this life Sunday, February 8, 2015 in Abilene, Texas. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday,February 11, 2015  2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Cisco, TX. , officiated by Dr. Kelvin Kelley. Burial  in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home.

Leona was born February 7, 1927 to Loonie Benton and Jodie Beatrice Gibbs in Crews, Texas.

She married Ralph Tempitist Morton on June 4, 1942 in Crews, Texas. Leona was a dedicated business woman, she worked for many years for Freslig Insurance and later The White Elephant Restaurant, Leona owned and operated the Sunshine Valley Mobile Home Park for many years in Cisco. She enjoyed riding her 4-wheelers in the Christmas and Folk Life parades each year and was very proud of the trophies she won. 

Leona was preceded in death by her husband Ralph T. Morton an infant son Kerry Ralph Morton and a  brother Connie Hale Gibbs.

She is survived by a son; Rickey T. Morton and wife Wanelda of Cisco and a daughter; Vickilea Spruill and husband Shannon of Cisco. Sister; Anna-Lee Smith of Odessa, Brother; Harce Leon Gibbs and wife Judy of Eula, Texas. Grandchildren; Melissa DeAnn Jackson and husband Jeremy of Cisco, Frederick Matthew Morton of Cisco, Grandle Levi Thompson and Lea Kay Thompson of Cisco, Shandi Lynn Spruill and Michelle of Austin, Kelsie Shanae Jirasek and husband Daniel of Salado, Texas, Laramy Bryson Spruill and wife Amanda of McAlester, OK., Zachary Quade Spruill, Chisholm Latico Spruill and wife Mercades, Blatiney Nicole Velez and husband Rolando of Cisco, and Sierra Cheynne Spruill of Brownwood. Great Grandchildren;

Abigail Wood, Allison Jackson, Maegan Jackson, Broderick Tempitist Morton, Trevor Dale Jackson, Serenity Khepri Jirasek, Keston Adom Jirasek, Nevaeh Joy Spruill, Rolando Gavin Velez III, and Carson Patrick Spruill.
