Laura Edith VanZandt Cothern Kleiner Obituary

   Laura Edith VanZandt Cothern Kleiner of Lake Leon passed away from cancer on Monday, May 9, 2016. 

   Edith was born on Nov. 13, 1932 in Snyder, Texas. She was the 11th child born to CC VanZandt and Evie Bihl VanZandt. She married R.W. (Weldon) Kleiner in Eastland on Nov. 6, 1967. 

  She was preceded in death  by her husband RW, her son, Ronald Cothren and her great-granddaughter Breonna Shaffer. 

   Edith is survived by her sister, Mary McCall of Lytle, Texas; her children, Rusty Cothren, Kay Kleiner of Casper, Wyoming, Rebecka Rich, Elaine Kleiner of Eastland, and Michael Parrish

of Austin; her step-children, Joanna Hooper of Eastland, Niana Kohler of Ft. Meyer, FL., Bill Kleiner of Casper, Wyoming, and Kelly Roy Lathrop of Wyoming. She had 16 grandchildren

and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Lots of nieces and nephews who all loved her. 

   This amazing woman adopted everyone she met and they all became part of her happy, large family. Edith had a very caring and loving heart and would do almost anything for all of

her loved ones, friends and neighbors. She will be loved and missed by everyone here on earth. 

   Edith now resides with our Lord, Jesus Christ. 

   Memorial will be Saturday, May 14th at 1 p.m. at her house at Lake Leon.
