Jimmy Wilson Moody, Sr.

CROSS PLAINS- Jimmy Wilson Moody, Sr. went home to be with his Lord and Savior Sunday, August 28, 2016 at his home surrounded by

many family members and friends. Services will be 2 PM Wednesday, August 31st at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland; with burial to follow

at Romney Cemetery. A visitation will be from 6-8 PM Tuesday, August 30th.

  Jimmy was born in Dallas, Texas, to John Benson Moody and Nancy Pierce (Johnston) Moody on February 18, 1941. On September 27, 1958

Jimmy married Reba Ann Trobaugh in Madill, Ok. He worked as a Sanitation Engineer for the City of Waldron. Jimmy was a member of the

Mason’s 32nd Degree and the Believer’s Fellowship Church. He loved animals, but most of all his family was his pride and joy. 

      He is survived by his wife, Reba Ann Moody, of 57 years; one son, Jimmy Wilson Moody, Jr. and wife Ellen; 2 daughters,

Fairy Ann Gonzales and husband Pedro and Nancy Avoe Becker and husband Chris W.; 3 brothers, Clarence, CN, and George Moody;

4 sisters, Barbara Guinn, Beulah Simmons, Nancy Clements, and Paula Woolf; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild;

and a host of nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Joe Moody.
