Funeral services for James D. Reger, Sr. 50, of Winnsboro were held at 10 am Friday, January 2, 2014, in the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home with Rev. Deanna Corbert officiating. Interment followed in Coax Cemetery. Visitation was held at 11 am until 1 pm Thursday, January 1, 2014. Mr. Reger was born March 3, 1964 in Winnsboro to William P. and Janie McDaniel Reger and passed from this life on December 30, 2014 at his residence in Winnsboro. Mr. Reger enjoyed hunting and fishing, but mostly he loved his children. He is preceded in death by his father and one sister Jannie LeAnn Reger. Survivors include three sons: James D. Reger Jr. and partner Bradley Keyser of Ranger, TX, Hunter Reger of Mangum, OK and Robert Floyd of Odessa, TX; one daughter LaTisha Pennington and partner Dondi of Fort Worth, TX; mother Janie Ladell Reger of Winnsboro; best friend and mother of his children Dorothy Reger of Mangum, OK; three grandchildren Cason and Caleb Floyd of Dublin, TX and Dylan Floyd; a host of other relatives and friends.
