J L Patton

J L Patton originally from Eastland, Texas passed away peacefully

on August 11, 2016 in Amarillo, Texas at the age of 86. J L was

born on April 17, 1930 to Jim and Lucy Patton.

J L is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Dionne,

a daughter Rita Toler, a son J.L. Patton, and 2 step grandsons.

JL served his country during the Korean War as a corporal in

the United States Army. JL received an honorable discharge

from the Army after serving two years.

JL is survived by two daughters, J-Etta Blankinship of Amarillo

and Shela Gillespie of Enid, Oklahoma; three step daughters,

Laura, Sherry and Cindy; two step sons, Donald Lewis and

Kenny Lewis; three brothers, Billy Ray Patton of Eastland,

Eujene Patton of Eastland, and James Patton of Ft. Worth;

three sisters, Eula West of Alvin, Wanda Roper of Tennessee,

and Verna McGee of Danville, Il; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren;

and 7 great-great grandchildren.

JL was laid to rest at the Eastland City Cemetery in Eastland, Texas

surrounded by family and friends on Monday, August 15, 2016.
