Ida Donaway Hazlewood, age 100, died Sunday, Feb 8, 2015 in San Marcos. Services will be held at Kimbrough Funeral Home in Cisco on Saturday, Feb 14, 2015 at 2:00 pm. with Harold Reese officiating. Burial will be in the Dothan Cemetery under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home. Family will receive visitors Friday 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. She was born August, 28, 1914 in Eastland County and attended Dothan school. She married R.C. Hazlewood on May 2, 1931 in Lawton, Oklahoma. They lived many places before moving to Cisco in 1988. Mrs. Hazlewood worked in Midland as a bookkeeper for The Permian Corp, Drilco, Dorchester, Flare and Calix Oil companies. She was active in Cub Scouts, PTA, Home Economics club and volunteered as a tax consultant for AARP. She was an active member of the I-20 Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb 10, 1989. She is survived by sons Sherrell Hazlewood and wife Theda Rhea of San Marcos, Don Hazlewood and wife Carol of San Marcos, and Chuck Hazlewood and wife Stephanie of Round Rock; grandchildren Andy Hazlewood & wife Kristen of Austin, Leona Hazlewood of San Marcos, Geoffrey Hazlewood of Austin and Graham Hazlewood of Round Rock. Great grandchildren include Anton Hazlewood, Levi Soto, Sara Hazlewood, Ripp Soto, David Hazlewood, and Lauren Hazlewood.
