Danny Jim Dyson

DELEON-Danny Jim Dyson, 64, of De Leon, passed away Friday, February 26,  2016, in Ft. Worth. He was born October 3, 1951, in

Gorman, Texas, to  James Foye Dyson and Thelma Adeline Barker Dyson.

 

Danny was a retired gas plant operator. Most of his school aged years  he lived in Desdemona but he graduated from De Leon High School

in  1969. Most of his adult life, Danny lived in Lone Camp in Palo Pinto  County until he returned to De Leon in 2013.

 

Danny enjoyed teasing and joking around with his children. He enjoyed  watching sports, especially women’s basketball, and listening to  

country music. He was a dedicated fan of the Texas Longhorns. He loved  to travel to collect genealogy information on his family. He spent

a  lot of time researching cemeteries where family members were interred.  He loved spending time with his family and many friends. He was  

especially proud of his grandchildren and always made sure they knew  how much he loved them and that they always had plenty of ice cream to  

eat at his house. Danny will be missed by all who knew him.

 

He is survived by his son, Jason Dyson and wife, Misty; daughters,  Tarrah Lancaster and husband, Adam, Farrah Moser and husband, Shane,  

Kamie Stover and husband, Ricky, and Chaily Pope and husband, Roland;  grandchildren, Austin Dyson, Caleb Dyson, Sage Lancaster, London  

Lancaster, Hagen Stover, Kasely Stover, Taygen Dobbs, Layten Wells and  Brensen Pope; sister, Joy Dyson; nephews, Little Ed Dyson, Brad Dyson  

and Cord Dyson; nieces, Lorrie Couch, Pam Horn and husband, Jim, and  Cindy Dyson Heinz; other extended family and many loving friends.

 

He  was preceded in death by his parents, James and Thelma Dyson; and  brothers, Mike Dyson and Ed Dyson.

 

Graveside funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3, 2016, at  1:00 p.m. in Victor Cemetery with Minister Adam Lancaster officiating.  

 

The Dyson family will receive friends from 9-11:00 a.m. Thursday at  Nowlin Anders Funeral Home in De Leon. Condolences may be offered
