Bonnie B. Croft, 92, passed away on Wednesday April 15, 2015. Graveside service: 1 pm Friday, April 24, 2015 in the Garden of the Last Supper of Mount Olivet Garden of Memories in Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to Lake Leon Baptist Church, 2601 Hwy 2214 Eastland, Texas 76448. Bonnie was born April 8, 1923 in Albany, Texas to James and Gladys Wayne Dillard and attended Rising Star High School. She was active for many years in Birdville Baptist Church in Fort Worth. She was a homemaker for 36 years and later worked in State Farm Insurance agencies, nursing homes, and elder care. Bonnie moved to Eastland where she lived at "Morning Glory Lane" on Lake Leon for 37 years and was active in Lake Leon Baptist Church. She retired from Birdsong Peanuts at the age of 80. She was a loving, devoted and generous mother, grandmother, and friend. Her favorite things were her family, friends, church, sunsets over the lake, cats & birds, growing flowers & tomatoes. She loved the serenity of her home where she celebrated her 92nd birthday with family prior to her death. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Virgil L. Croft, Jr.; daughter, Donna Jones; sister, Louise Brown; three brothers; and former husband of 36 years, Virgil L. Croft, Sr. Survivors: Daughter, Bonita Richards and husband Dick; grandsons, Roy Jones and wife Ann, Virgil Croft III and wife Jennifer; step-grandson, Steve Ashworth and wife Amanda; great-grandchildren, Sydney, Julie, Hannah, Ashley, Elizabeth, Iliana, Evelynne, Lee, Brayden, Brooklyn and Brenna; loving sisters-in-law Ruth Williams and Lavern Key, and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.
