Bernice Hollaway Obituary

Bernice Hollaway, 92, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Friday, November 28, 2014.

Bernice was born in Eastland, Texas on April 12, 1922 to Otto and Tee Clyde (Hardin) Langlitz. She grew up in Eastland, Texas and attended school there. On July 1, 1939 she married James Felton Hollaway and they made their home in Eastland and Abilene. She moved to Ennis in 1983.

She worked for Eastland Drug Store, Dixie Pig Restaurant in Abilene and for Ennis WalMart for twenty nine years as a greeter. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Linda Jones; three grandchildren: four great-grandchildren: two great-great-grandchildren and one brother, Dale Langlitz.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, James Felton Hollaway in 1981 and three sisters.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., December 3, 2014 in the Eastland Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.

Benefit fund will be set up at Ennis State Bank under her name in lieu of flowers.
