Arthur "Roy" Haley Obtiuary

 OLDEN- Arthur Roy Haley, 71, of Olden Texas was born on April 10, 1943 in Gorman, Texas and passed away on Monday, November 17, 2014 in Abilene, Texas. 

   He is preceded in death by his parents Pink and Ruth Haley. 

   Roy leaves behind brothers, Joe Haley and wife Elise and Charles “Matt” Haley and wife Debbie; sons, Heath and Colby; nephew, Scotty; niece, Shanna; great nephews, Devin and Austin; great-niece, Brooke and many family and friends. 

   An avid fisherman and fisher of men, Roy was happiest sharing the word of God and spending time with his family. Roy’s second love was being anywhere he could get a hook wet. Well known for his little black book of funny jokes and handmade bolo ties, Roy never met a stranger anywhere he went. His smile and sense of humor will be deeply missed by many. May he rest in peace. 

   Services will be at the church where Roy preached for 30+ years. Join the Haley family on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the Church of Christ in Olden. Burial will follow in the Alameda Cemetery in Ranger. The family received friends at Kimbrough Funeral Home in Cisco on Friday.
