Rising Star City Hall was destroyed Monday, October 10, in an early morning fire. The structure was engulfed in flames and according to sources “is a total loss”. The building was constructed in 1933, and during in those early days, the building not only served as City Hall, but it also housed the local fire truck. While the fire department was eventually relocated, this structure has continued to serve as Rising Star’s City Hall.
