Fire Destroys City Hall

Rising Star City Hall was destroyed Monday, October 10, in an early morning fire. The structure was engulfed in flames and according to sources “is a total loss”. In an emergency meeting Monday, the Rising Star City Council voted to move city offices to the front of the police station until a 12x40 foot portable building arrives.
