NOTICE OF A SPECIAL MEETING GOVERNING BODY – CITY OF RANGER

Notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of the governing body of the City of Ranger will be held on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 1:30 PM at City Hall, 400 West Main Street, Ranger, Texas, at which the following subjects will be discussed and possible action taken:

Agenda Item 01: Call to Order- Mayor Pilgrim Roll Call

Prayer
Pledge of Allegiance to United States Flag Pledge of Allegiance to Texas Flag

Agenda Item 02: Citizen’s Presentation-At this time, anyone on the list will be allowed to speak on any matter other than personnel matters or matters under litigation, for a length of time not to exceed THREE minutes. No Council/Board discussion or action may take place on a matter until such matter has been placed on an agenda and posted in accordance with law.

Agenda Item 03: Discuss /Consider approval of Second and Final Reading of Ordinance No. 2016-09-06-D: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANGER, TEXAS, SETTING THE TAX LEVY FOR THE YEAR 2016 ON ALL TAXABLE REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY LOCATED IN THE CITY OF RANGER, TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR PENALTY, INTEREST, AND ADDITIONAL PENALTY ON TAXES NOT TIMELY PAID AND PROVIDING OTHER MATTERS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT- Mayor Pilgrim

Agenda Item 07: Discuss/Consider street closing for Roaring Ranger Day Festivals Activities, streets including Walnut, Cherry & Rusk – Ken Charman, Ranger Citizen’s Task Force

Agenda Item 08: Discuss/Consider request from Ranger Historical Preservation Society for $600 from Hotel/Motel Tax Fund for promotion of “Roaring Ranger Day Event” – Jeane Pruett, President Ranger Historical Preservation Society

Agenda item 09: ADJOURNMENT

I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify that the above notice of meeting of the Governing Body of the City of Ranger is a true and correct copy of said notice on the bulletin board at the City Hall of the City of Ranger, a place convenient and readily available to the general public at all times, and notice was posted by 1:30 p.m., September 2, 2016 and remained posted for 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of the meeting.
