Robert Warner Bundick Obituary
CROWLEY-- Robert Warner Bundick, 88, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015, at a local nursing facility.
Funeral was held at 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Robertson-Mueller Harper, Fort Worth. Interment: 3:30 p.m. in Evergreen Cemetery, Ranger. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Robert was born on Sept. 23, 1927, in Ranger to Richard Otto Bundick and Mary Florence Lewis Bundick. He graduated from Ranger High School in 1945. The same day he graduated high school, he immediately joined the U.S. Navy and served on the YMS-170 minesweeper.
After his discharge, Robert attended Ranger Junior College. He began his career with livestock, working for C.P. Cloud of Lampasas trading wool and mohair, which then led him to a fulfilling and rewarding career as a livestock auctioneer. Robert also enjoyed trading in agricultural commodities. He was a voracious reader and especially enjoyed philosophical and metaphysical writings.
Survivors: Daughter, Betty Jean Bundick-Anderson; sister, Peggy Jean Hodges; stepson, Michael Penn Smith; grandson, Robert Cody Anderson; former spouse, Dorothy Penn Bundick.
