Lyman K. Arnspiger Obituary

   RISING STAR- Lyman K. Arnspiger, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, at his home in Rising Star, Texas.

   He was born on November 6, 1943, in Clovis, New Mexico, to Orvill G. and Thelma (Tiffin) Arnspiger.  On July 7, 1962, he was united in marriage to Etta Hudgins in Portales, New Mexico.  Lyman was a rancher and he enjoyed working with his cattle and spending time with his dog, Jodie.  He was very involved in church activities and loved to sing.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

   He is survived by his wife, Etta Arnspiger of Rising Star; daughters, Tammy Peacock of Rockwall, and Sheri Hinshaw and husband Rodney of Mayhill, New Mexico; grandchildren, Brian Peacock and wife Amy Peacock, both of Rockwall; sister, Sylvia Cavener of Arlington; nieces, Valerie Rogers and husband Tim of Bedford, Cindy Sumner and husband Harold of McKinney, and Adina Gist of Arlington; and nephews, Kyle Cavener of Arlington and Kelly Cavener of Austin; special friends, Ron Cotton, Steve Weir, Pat Huber, Jeff and Nikki Stark and children. 

   He was preceded in death by one son, Creston Arnspiger; grandsons, Jeffrey Peacock and Blair Arnspiger; sister, Sandy Allen; and parents, Thelma Starkey and Orville Arnspiger.

   Visitation will be at the family home.

   Lunch for the family will be at Corinth Baptist Church at 12:00 Noon on Monday, November 30, 2015.

   Funeral Services will be at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, November 30, 2015 at Corinth Baptist Church, with Rev. Red Chamberlain officiating and Lynn Hagan assisting, followed by interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
