Brian Keith Rogers

   AZLE – Brian Keith Rogers, 53 of Azle, passed away Tuesday July 12, 2016 in Ft. Worth.  

   A visitation was held at White’s Funeral Home in Azle on Thursday, 6~8:00 p.m.  A visitation was held at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland on Friday, 6~8:00. 

Services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland.

     Brian was born on September 28, 1962 in Memphis, TX to Keith Rogers and Rebecca (Holcomb) Rogers.  He graduated from Petersburg High School in 1981

and attended Texas Tech University.  He married Nancy Chesshir on February 14, 1999 in Ruidoso, NM, blending their two families into one big happy family. 

He owned and operated Liberty Ecological & Environmental Service where he was an Asbestos Specialist.  He was a Master Electrician and Plumber, and

owned and operated Ace Hardware of Azle which was named Business of the Year for the last 3 years.  Before moving to Azle he served on the Zoning

Board for the City of Eastland.  Brian was very active in the Azle community where he served as President of the Chamber of Commerce and President of the

Azle Optimist Club, and recently was named Businessman of the Year.  He loved his family dearly, enjoyed Harley’s and collecting guns, and had a special

place in his heart for his dogs.  Brian was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother. 

     Survivors include his wife, Nancy Rogers of Azle; 2 sons, Cagney Rogers and wife Carlisle of Ft. Worth who are expecting Brian’s’ 8th grandchild this

Christmas, and Robby King and wife Rye of Ft. Worth; 3 daughters, Neely Burrows and husband Russell of Graham, Tasha Donarumo and husband Joe of

Aledo, and Sarah Sellers and husband Justin of Eastland; a sister, Jayne Rogers of Lubbock; and a brother, Wayne Thornton of Denton.  He was lovingly

referred to as “Pappy” by his 7 grandchildren, Hayden & Barron Burrows, Karsten, Kaiser & Knox Donarumo, and Zane & Eva Sellers.  He was also survived by

several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
