In the Mustang Bowl Thursday evening, the Eastland Mavericks and Sonora Broncos battled one another like a heavyweight boxing match. Thursday’s area round playoff game was a rematch of last year’s Region 1 semi-final contest that saw the Broncos come from behind and defeat the Mavericks by 5 points.
