Rising Star High School Band Honored By Being Named A Sweepstakes Band

The Rising Star High School band recently earned the honor of being named a Sweepstakes Band, and according to Robert Friesenhahn, Director of Bands at Rising Star ISD, this is the first time in the school’s history that the band has earned this distinction. RSHS band attends the UIL Marching Contest and the UIL Concert and Sight Reading contest each year.
