Billie L. Washington Obituary

 ABILENE, TX--Billie L. Washington, 91, of Abilene passed away Thursday, June 17, 2015 in Abilene. 

   Graveside services were  held Friday, June 19, 2015, at 11:00 am at Abilene City Cemetery, Cedar Hill Flat Section. Officiating, Pastor Matthew M. Lubin Sr. of the Macedonia Baptist Church, Abilene, Texas 

   Billie was born on April 30, 1924 in Wolf City, Texas to the late Raymond Kelly and Elnora Beatrice Gamble. She married Tommy Lee Washington and he precedes her in death. Billie lived in Eastland, Texas for over fifty-five years before moving to Abilene in 2005. Before retiring to take care of her mother and other family members she worked at Eastland Memorial Hospital and she volunteered at the food bank. She was a caregiver to all. 

   Billie was preceded in death by her parents; one sister; and four brothers.

   Billie is survived by her two daughters, Tonie Conner and husband Douglas; Elnora Pollard; son, Dan Ray Washington and wife Mae; Eight Grandchildren; fourteen Great Grandchildren; host of other relative and friends.
