Robert Dee Gattis

CISCO-Robert Dee Gattis, 86, of Cisco, joined his Heavenly Father March 31, 2015. Funeral Service was held 11:00 A.M. Friday, April 3, 2015 at First United Methodist Church in Cisco with Dr. Charles Holland officiating, with internment at Lane Cemetery in the Scranton Community, Eastland County under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home. Visitation with the family was held on Thursday, April 2, 2015, 5-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Robert waas born April 2, 1928 in Port Arthur, Texas the son of James Ernest Gattis and Emma (Smith) Gattis. He attended schools at Thomas Jefferson Highschool in Port Arthur, Bachelor’s Degree from Sou the rn Methodi s t University, and received his Masters from New York, Institute of Technology. He worked for Hughes Aircraft as an Electrical Engineer. Robert served in the Navy following WW II. He married Billie Louise Durham in 1950 in Dallas, Texas. Robert was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife Billie, sons; David Gattis and wife Teresa of Benbrook, Texas and James Michael Gattis and wife Julie of Raleigh, NC., daughter; Dee Ann Gattis of Lewisville, Texas. Six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
